in washington right now, the president, speaker policy, even harry reid have not been interested or willing to come together with the public and come up with a bipartisan solution. jane: they are in power, so how does that change, and where does the optimism come from? >> it depends on what they want to do. if it wanted jam a program through and have a government run everything, they have the numbers to do that. the problem is, that is not where the people are, and that is what we have seen in august. hopefully, representatives will be responsible to their constituencies and put together a plan that we believe could be done, getting folks without insurance insured, making sure that medical decisions are made between patients and families and doctors to solve a liability challenges we have and make sure that insurance is portable. we have some reform so people can take their insurance with them if they change their job. jane: i know you say that it is deficit neutral, but the cbo has not studied that, so we cannot say. we will see where it goes. jon: we're still waiting for the motorcade in
